As part of our Science unit on “Staying Alive” we visited the Kyabram Fauna Park on 26th October. We had an amazing time and learnt a lot of important information about the animals and their habitats. Students also attended an educational workshop “Feathers, Fur or Scales.” They had an opportunity to hold animals so they could feel and touch the different textures of the animal coats.

This is what they had to say about their visit:

“I loved holding and feeling the lizard and the cockroach. I was not scared.” Kausar

“I liked holding the python. We saw lots of bats. There were lots of lorikeets. The naughty cockatoo was copying us. It was fun.” Burhaan

“I liked holding and patting the lizard. I loved feeding the kangaroo.” Raffay

“We learnt that animals like koalas are warm blooded because they have hair like us. Sajaad

During their Science unit study, the students also attended a science incursion here at school.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the Awards evening.
